, while traveling in Asia, often one will hear the term… “Same same.. but different”.
It always humored me when I would hear this. Of course due to the language difference they would be trying to explain thru a rudimentary system, creating distinctions what it was they were trying to share or explain.
The more I think about this overly simplistic method, the more I can appreciate it.
It is through distinctions that we not only define ourselves but also find
our power.
Perhaps we could even say that through this practice we can de-homogenize our world and hence give ourselves the harnessing ability to empower ourselves.
We are same same… but different.
Is it same? Is it different?...
